SAS Software Distribution

The Instructional Technology Lab (ITL) distributes Statistical Analysis System software (SAS) to GW faculty members, students, and staff for academic and research purposes.

To receive a copy of SAS, you can do one of the following:

  • submit the online license agreement form and receive a link to the SAS installer via GW email.
  • bring two blank DVDs to the ITL and exchange them for a set with the SAS installer.
  • bring a 16GB flash drive to the ITL and we will copy the installer to it.

SAS can only be installed on a Windows OS. Mac OS users require additional software like Bootcamp or VMWare Fusion and a license for Windows in order to install SAS. This additional software is not supported by the ITL.

SAS is also installed in select computer labs and classrooms on campus.

License Renewal

The license for SAS expires on December 15th each year and has a 90-day grace period for renewal. A license renewal file can be emailed to your GW email address after a new license agreement form is submitted.

For assistance with the installation of SAS, you can contact the ITL Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

You can also review the SAS Software FAQs for additional information.
